PhD research project "Monitoring the Contemporary Biodiversity Crisis in the Mediterranean Sea Using Digital Data from Recreational Fishing".
The project offers an exciting opportunity to engage with social media data mining and machine learning in the context of recreational fishing.
This work has significant implications for understanding fisheries dynamics in the context of climate change and biological invasions.
This PhD position will be funded by ”la Caixa” Foundation that grants 60 doctoral INPhINIT fellowships for young talented researchers of any nationality who wish to pursue doctoral studies in Spain. Doctoral INPhINIT fellowships offer a highly competitive salary and complementary opportunities for training in transferable skills through residential sessions, outreach activities, and other features.
The selection process will be carried out in two stages: first, an evaluation of the candidate's CV and fit with the project, followed by an interview.

Candidates must not have resided or carried out their main activity
(work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than twelve months in the three
years immediately preceding the closing date of the call.

Post-doctoral position: UNIVERSITÉ PARIS SCIENCES ET LETTRES
A Post-Doctoral position financed by the Institut Pierre Gilles de Gennes pour la microfluidique (IPGG), is available in the SEISAD Team, Institute of Chemistry for Life and Health Sciences ParisTech, Université PSL. The topic is “Nanoplastics: from their physico-chemical characterization to the study of their interactions with environmental and biological media in an all-in-one microchip electrophoresis.
Candidate profile: Outstanding and highly motivated PhD in analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, nanotechnologies or nanosciences, that has an expertise in microfabrication along with good knowledge in separation sciences.
In addition, the candidate should have good communication skills to work within a team, independence, good organizational skills and a high level of written and oral communication skills.
