THE webinar
"Psychrophilic Microorganisms: A Promising Resource for Innovative Biotechnological Applications"
HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO THE 2ND OF aPRIL AT 15:30 (cet)
The webinar will be held on APRIL 2nd at 15:30 (CET)
Extremophilic microorganisms are untapped and poorly described genetic resources with great potential for discovering new and valuable biomolecules suitable for biotechnological applications. The webinar will focus in on marine psychrophilic bacteria for bioremediation in cold environments and will highlight the development of microbial fuel cell biosensors using these microorganisms. During the webinar the lecturers will also present the activities carried out within the H2020 project "FUTURENZYME": about one hundred microorganisms, including bacteria and archaea, from extreme environments were screened for enzymatic activity, identifying strains with unique properties, with ongoing research into their enzyme production.
