It is our pleasure to welcome you, on behalf of the European Society of Marine Biotechnology (ESMB) and the University of Malaga (UMA), to the European Congress of Marine Biotechnology (ECMB2023), which will be held at the Faculty of Science of UMA, Malaga, Spain.
The programme will feature keynote presentations and invited voluntary oral presentations. A particular interest of ESMB is to be educationally oriented, thus providing also a training platform for young researchers and students. Such participants are thus encouraged to submit proposals for oral presentations at the congress.
The University of Malaga (UMA) is characterised for being an open university, cosmopolitan and capable of being integrated in scientific projects of the highest level, which is committed to scientific development and innovation as a way to bring progress to society, standing out in the last years for the promotion of mobility and the effort to attract international talent. Forty years after being established, it has more than 55,000 students, 58 undergraduate degrees, 53 Master's degrees, 278 research groups and it has obtained 45 registered patents. Innovation, dynamism and internationalisation are the principles that mark the history of the UMA and, at the same time, the goal established by the university is to overcome current difficulties and strengthen its service for knowledge, for society and for the future.
We will try our best to organise a high-standard conference for experts from around the world to discuss the latest basic and applied research advancements related to marine biotechnology. We hope to meet you in Malaga.
