Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn, Naples, Italy
The second edition of the International Summer School of Blue Biotechnology will be held at the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn of Naples from October 1st to 4th 2024.
The school will be dedicated to PhD students and early career researchers working in the field of blue biotechnology. The four days of summer school will be focused on current interdisciplinary approaches used to disclose biotechnological potential of marine resources and their use for eco-sustainable production of molecules and processes with beneficial effects on human and environment health. A combination of lectures, short communications, practical afternoon sessions and visits to laboratories of a marine biotechnology company will create a stimulating environment for participants. Evenings are always reserved for social events in Naples, which can increase exchange of ideas among participants and create new long-lasting collaborations.
Detailed information on the program of our course and online registration form for the ISSBB 2024 are available at the following link:

1ST EDITION CRIMAC INTERNATIONAL Summer School "MultidisciPLinary Approach for the STudy of plastic litter pollution in MEDiterranean ecosystems: from impacts to potential solutions" (PLASTMed)
The first edition of the Summer School PLASTMed will take place from the 22nd to the 25th October 2024 at the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn Calabria Marine Centre - CRIMAC in Amendolara (CS) - Italy. It was conceived to address plastic pollution in the Mediterranean area through a multidisciplinary approach: the course will explore the ecological, biotechnological and toxicological aspects of plastic pollution through lectures by leading experts and field and laboratory activities. Possible solutions to reduce the impact of plastics by considering both new technological
applications and bioplastic challenges will also be discussed. The course will be a personal and professional enrichment for participants, both in terms of thematic insights and in the creation of new collaborative networks.
Open to: graduate and PhD students and early career researchers.
